With all the glorious sunshine and beautiful blue skies, we feel the UK is being well and truly spoilt with the heatwave! Lots of doggies love the beach and who can blame them? With miles of sand and endless waves to leap through, it makes for the perfect day out. As the children have now broken up for the summer, we thought what better time to share a selection of doggie-friendly beaches that you may wish to enjoy a trip to. It’s worth noting that not all beaches welcome our four-legged friends and we know there’s nothing worse than spending hours cooped up in the car to find a beautiful spot that isn’t dog-friendly! Summer has most certainly arrived, and we definitely can’t complain about the glorious sunshine and blue skies! When the sun is shining, we want to make sure that our furry friends are kept cool and safe as the hot weather can pose some risks for our dogs if they are not cared for properly. During the summer month’s lots of vets see cases of heat stroke which, we as pet owners, can help to avoid. We have put together our top tips for making sure our dogs are kept cool, safe and comfortable this summer. ☀️
National Pet Month runs between 1st April and 7th May. In its 27th year, thousands of people up and down the UK celebrate life with their pets. The registered charity aims to raise awareness of responsible pet ownership, the role of pet care specialists and the value of working animals such as hearing dogs and guide dogs.
