When the sun is shining, there really is no better place to be than right here in the UK. There are so many hidden gems and beautiful places to consider when booking your summer trip and we are sure that we have found some dog-friendly locations that will take your fancy! Don't forget to get in touch with the hotel before booking, to make sure all of the details are still up to date!
Cotswolds:
The Fish Hotel, Broadway:
The Fish Hotel, located in the Cotswolds, offers back-to-nature glamping accommodation with a touch of luxury to ensure you won’t miss those home comforts. The Fish have focused on making the hotel as dog-friendly as possible and have several dog-friendly rooms, with wooden floors and easy access to your car, along with 400 acres of Cotswold countryside for those all-important dog walks. Don’t worry about packing a bag for your four-legged friend, as they will provide a cosy dog bed, two dog bowls, some yummy dog treats and a dog towel. Post muddy dog walks call for a visit to the ‘Dunk your Dog’ dog bath to clean off before enjoying doggy afternoon tea that comes complete with treats and Pawsecco or Sniffer Beer. What’s more, they also have dog agility courses within the grounds – your pooch won’t ever want to leave! Prices start from £170 per night, with a £30 per dog per stay fee - be sure to let them know if you’re bringing along your dog too!
The Lygon Arms, Broadway:
The Lygon Arms, situated on Broadway High Street, has recently undergone a multi-million pound revamp. This four-star coaching inn has 86 bedrooms and suites, with plenty of dog-friendly rooms to suit both you and your dog. Prices start from £195 per room, per night and with a £25 per stay fee for your pooch. This price includes a dog bed, treats and bowls for food and water. There’s plenty of open space for your pooch to explore - don't forget to ask at the front desk for some of their favourite dog-friendly walks nearby. There's even an opportunity for your dog to enjoy a little bit of pampering during your stay... and you can also visit the suite that Oliver Cromwell stayed in the night before the battle of Worcester in 1651.
Corinium Hotel, Cirencester:
The Corinium Hotel is situated on one of the oldest streets in Cirencester - known as the "Capital of the Cotswolds" and is only a five-minute walk to Market Place - the heart of the town. This delightful hotel offers fifteen bedrooms, a restaurant that’s a firm favourite with the locals and a cosy popular bar, both full of Cotswold charm. They welcome dogs of any size to stay in their designated pet-friendly rooms for a fee of £7 per pet. Prices start from £95 per night.
Scotland:
Crossbasket Castle, Blantyre Glasgow:
Have you ever stayed in a castle? Well here’s your chance as Crossbasket Castle have opened up their doors to both you, and your four-legged friend. It’s the ideal luxury retreat if you’re looking for peace and tranquillity with your dog. The 17th century hotel is located in Blantyre, Glasgow and has 9 breath-taking ensuite bedrooms. They also have self-catering accommodation, a Gate Lodge, and a traditional 2-bedroomed house. You are welcomed to explore the castle grounds including a large stretch of woodland and the beautiful waterfalls. You can also enjoy nearby fishing, golfing and hiking experiences. Prices start from £290 per night.
The Four Seasons, Perthshire:
Situated on the banks of Loch Earn, The Four Seasons Hotel could not be set in a more picturesque location if it tried. This hotel is a doggie wonderland; with pet-loving staff and beautiful dog walking trails right on your doorstep. They welcome you to dine with your dog in the bar area or (if you pre-book) in the sofa area of the Bistro. The hotel’s perfect location means you'll be able to enjoy spectacular views of Perthshire. They have 12 bedrooms and 6 chalets, all that are dog-friendly. Prices start from £95 per night.
East Haugh House Hotel, Pitlochry:
If you are looking to escape to Scotland on more of a budget then be sure to check out this dog-friendly hotel set in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. This beautiful 17th century stone house has been transformed into a boutique family-run hotel that is ideal for a break with your hound. All 12 rooms are dog-friendly and are on the ground floor, giving your pet easy access to the garden. They do ask that you leave your pet in your room whilst visiting their restaurant or alternatively, you can reserve a table at the nearby dog-friendly pub. There are lots of stunning walks nearby for you to check out and enjoy. Prices start from £85 per night.
Wales:
The Falcondale, Lampeter:
This country house hotel is a Victorian, Grade II listed mansion that’s situated above a beautiful secluded valley within the Cambrian Mountains. It’s undergone an extensive refurbishment where they’ve maintained the historic character of the building. With 14 acres of gardens, woods and beautiful grounds, The Falcondale is the ideal place to escape with your pooch. It’s also just thirty minutes from the coastal villages of Cardigan Bay, which was recently voted the best place to be in the world. The hotel are more than happy to provide any pet essentials if you were to forget anything at home. Prices are from £157 per night.
The Corran Resort & Spa, Carmarthen:
The Corran Boutique Hotel is hidden in the marshlands of the Carmarthenshire countryside. This 16th century farmhouse host a selection of luxurious bedrooms that include all the mod cons you could wish for. It's the perfect location for exploring with your four-legged friend before heading back to enjoy the hotel’s spa facilities. The hotel has dedicated dog-friendly rooms which are found in The Orchard and are just next door to the pool and gym. They also welcome your dog to join you when having a drink or food in the bar and lounge area. Prices start from £150 per night, with a £10 per night charge for your pooch which includes a bag of treats, a water bowl and paw wipes.
The Manor Hotel, Crickhowell:
The Manor Hotel is situated close to the Brecon Beacons, and is the perfect base for families with children and dogs. The hotel welcomes you to come and stay with your pooch and has a selection of rooms that are suitable for the both of you. The designated pet friendly rooms have wooden floors and plenty of space for your dogs bed. They will also provide food and water bowls on request. Dogs are welcome in most parts of the hotel, so you can take full advantage of the bar or enjoy a meal without having to leave your dog in your room. There's plenty to do at the Manor hotel with extensive grounds and varied walks in the nearby countryside, as well as the hotels heated indoor pool with a sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and gym. Prices start from just £70 per night, with a £10 nightly charge for your dog. They ask if you could please let them know in advance if you are bringing your dog along with you.
